This workshop equips delegates to be able to recognise opportunities for Value Analysis (VA) and Value Engineering (VE) projects to be established and to be able to participate effectively in any VA/VE project in the future. Delegates gain learnings from the presentation of a number of real-life practical examples of successful VA and VE projects and enjoy an innovative and commercially justifiable learning experience that can be migrated back into any establishment.

You will learn

  • Understand the concepts of Value Analysis (VA) and Value Engineering (VE) as well as their similarities and differences., Understand that the concepts follow a structured approach to the achievement of project goals and obtain knowledge of this approach., Understand the Value Equation and the ways that this equation can be influenced both positively and negatively by VA/VE projects., Understand how the VA/VE process fits into Strategic Sourcing and the role of Portfolio Analysis in the planning and implementation of a VA/VE project., Understand the role that the project leader and team members play in ensuring that a VA/VE project is successful., Understand the need for both internal and external collaboration in a successful VA/VE project., Be introduced to the benefits that both the Buyer and the Seller can achieve by collaborating effectively in VA/VE projects., Understand the factors that contribute to a successful project and the pitfalls to avoid.
